This Privacy Policy explains how Discord bots and applications operated for the Jayson Casper community (“Applications”) may access, process, and use information in connection with their operation.
This policy applies only to Jayson Casper Discord Applications specifically identified below. Additional Applications may be added to this policy as they are introduced.
1. Applications Covered
JAYC
JAYC is a customized Discord bot used within the Jayson Casper Discord community to provide community management, moderation, member management, role management, engagement, automation, and other Discord server functionality.
JAYC is powered by MEE6’s Custom Bot/Bot Personalizer service. MEE6 provides the underlying service and infrastructure used to operate JAYC and its enabled MEE6 features.
Additional Jayson Casper Discord Applications may be added to this Privacy Policy in the future. The information accessed and functionality provided may vary by Application.
2. Information That May Be Processed
Depending on the Application and features enabled, information made available through Discord may be processed as necessary to provide the applicable functionality.
For JAYC, this may include:
- Discord user IDs and usernames
- Discord server membership information
- Member roles and permissions
- Member join and leave events
- Member profile update events
- Presence or activity information when required for enabled functionality
- Message content when necessary for commands, moderation, automation, or other enabled features
- Server, channel, and related Discord information necessary for enabled bot functionality
- Other information made available through Discord’s API that is necessary to operate enabled features
The specific information processed depends on how a user interacts with JAYC and which features are enabled within the Jayson Casper Discord community.
3. How Information Is Used
Information accessed or processed through JAYC may be used to:
- Provide Discord community management features
- Moderate the community and enforce server rules
- Manage members, roles, and permissions
- Detect member joins, departures, and relevant account changes
- Provide commands and automated responses
- Operate community engagement and activity features
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Discord community
- Provide other enabled MEE6 functionality
Information obtained through JAYC is not sold by Jayson Casper for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
Jayson Casper Discord Applications may rely on third-party services to provide their functionality.
JAYC currently relies on Discord and MEE6.
Because MEE6 provides the underlying Custom Bot/Bot Personalizer service for JAYC, information made available to JAYC through Discord may be processed by MEE6 as necessary to provide its services.
Information processed independently by Discord or MEE6 is subject to those companies’ respective privacy policies, terms, data retention practices, and security procedures.
Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of Discord and MEE6 for more information about how those services handle data.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Jayson Casper does not independently operate the underlying MEE6 infrastructure used to provide JAYC’s bot functionality.
Information processed or stored by Discord or MEE6 is subject to those providers’ respective data handling and retention practices.
Any information maintained directly by Jayson Casper in connection with a Discord Application will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the applicable feature, administer the community, maintain security, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
6. Data Sharing
Jayson Casper does not sell personal information obtained through its Discord Applications.
Information may be processed by third-party service providers when necessary to operate an Application and provide its functionality. For JAYC, these providers currently include Discord and MEE6.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of the Jayson Casper community, its members, or its services.
7. User Choices and Data Requests
Users may choose not to interact with JAYC and may leave the Jayson Casper Discord community at any time.
Users may contact Jayson Casper with questions or requests concerning information handled directly by Jayson Casper through its Discord Applications.
Requests concerning information independently controlled or stored by Discord, MEE6, or another third-party provider may need to be submitted directly to the applicable provider.
8. Security
Reasonable measures are taken to protect information handled directly in connection with Jayson Casper Discord Applications from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
However, no online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
Jayson Casper Discord Applications are intended for use by individuals who meet Discord’s minimum age requirements.
The Applications are not intended to knowingly collect personal information from individuals who are not permitted to use Discord under Discord’s applicable terms and policies.
10. Additional Applications
Additional Discord Applications operated for the Jayson Casper community may be added in the future.
When another Application is added, this Privacy Policy may be updated to identify the Application, describe its purpose, identify relevant third-party service providers, and explain any materially different data practices associated with that Application.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to Jayson Casper Discord Applications, enabled functionality, third-party service providers, Discord requirements, or applicable privacy practices.
When material changes are made, the Last Updated date at the top of this policy will be revised.
